Why waste your used clothes when you can help the needy by donating them? We believe that Old Clothes Donation is an effortless way towards recycling of resources. Under our Old Clothes Scheme, we ensure the old clothes are properly washed and renovated. You as an NGO or an Old Age or Leprosy Home can always come to us to make the less fortunate people happy.
What is not so useful for you, can be very useful to people who need them. Under our Old Clothes Scheme, we collect clothes from potential locations and then mend and sew them accordingly. Donate Clothes to RCC and change their lives. Our Cloth Bank also does Old Clothes Donation during natural calamities such as flood, fires and, tsunami. If you as a Destitute or Leprosy Home want to bring smiles to the needy people’s lives, then our Foundation is here to support you.
Under the Old Clothes Scheme, the foundation collects old and unused clothes from the people and the society as a whole. People from different walks of life like homemakers and politicians in and around the city drop into our foundation on a regular basis and Donate Good Clothes. Apart from this, our members, lady members and children with other NGOs go on a door to door campaign for collection on scheduled date, which is informed in advance to the locality through public address system, hand bills, banners, etc. The collected clothes are thus amended, if required, washed with proper chemicals, neatly ironed, segregated into various categories and sizes and packed in poly bags.
Over a period, the foundation has expanded its horizon in social service. The various program of the Foundation is Old Clothes Scheme, Distribution of New Clothes, Distribution of Tailor made New School Uniforms and, RCC MIT Endowment Scheme. More than Twenty Lakhs people have already benefitted from the foundation, which includes beneficiaries from different NGOs like Orphanages, Destitute Homes, Leprosy Home, Mental Hospitals, Bal Bhavans, Old Age Homes, besides victims of natural calamities such as floods, fires, Tsunami etc. We have rushed relief supplies to the earthquake victims in Gujarat and victims of super cyclone in Orissa and Tsunami affected areas in Tamilnadu. The board of Trustees monitor the activities of the Foundation under the guidance of experienced social workers, permanent staffs, who manage day to day operations from our own premises at Nungambakkam, Chennai.
Under our Old Clothes Scheme, the reconditioned Clothes are then distributed to the needy people and organizations like destitute homes, orphans, old age people, mental hospitals, leprosy patients, street children besides victims of natural calamities such as floods, fires, drought, earthquake, tsunami etc., Till date, the foundation has distributed over seventeen lakhs reconditioned clothes to the deserving people of our society.
More than twenty lakhs people have already benefitted from the foundation, which includes beneficiaries from different NGOs like Orphanages, Destitute Homes, and, Leprosy Home. Our Old Clothes Scheme has helped even the Mental Hospitals, Bal Bhavans and, Old Age Homes, besides victims of natural calamities such as floods, fires, Tsunami, etc.
We at Rajasthan Cosmo Club believe that it’s always better to donate than discard. We are concerned about the unfortunate people, and our passion is to help them. We collect different types of clothes from various locations around the town and then Donate Clothes to individuals who need them. We believe in restoring those lives of people which have been lost because of lack of resources. We, at Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation always believe in being the helping hand to the underprivileged members of the society. We strive to meet their necessities by offering them new clothes under our New Clothes Scheme. Our passion is to indulge in improving the conditions of the downtrodden people and we do so by collecting sample bits from textile traders and manufacturers.
Rajasthan Cosmo Club was founded and inaugurated by then Governor, Honorable Dr. Chenna Reddy in the year 1994 by 72 young responsible and compassable persons dedicated to the objective of providing the leadership skills, bringing out the hidden talent and to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate members of the society. The Rajasthani community in Chennai has been actively involved in uplifting the downtrodden people in the society. In pursuance of the above objective, we at Rajasthan Cosmo Club formed a separate Registered Charitable organization in the name of Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation (RCCF) in the year 1995 and embarked upon novel project called Cloth Bank, committed to its goal of Restoring Human Dignity by providing clothes to all.
